The Grand Ducal family of Luxembourg has held one of their annual events at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg City. The senior members of the family gathered to host a New Year’s reception.

Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg hosted a New Year’s reception at the palace on Sunday 22 January. The couple hosted several government figures, including the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, several members of the Chamber of Deputies, and members of the Council of State. They also invited several members of the diplomatic corps.

Grand Duchess Maria Theresa paired her purple gown with the Belgian Scroll Tiara.

The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess were joined by several members of their family. Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie both attended the reception; Stephanie is currently pregnant with their second child who is due in April of this year. She wore a blue maternity gown from Seraphine, a favoured maternity brand for many royal women, as well as the Aquamarine Bandeau Tiara and the matching parure.

Prince Félix attended the evening though his wife, Princess Claire, did not. Prince Louis and Prince Sebastien were also there.

Princess Alexandra joined her parents and brothers. Alexandra wore an emerald green gown with a family tiara, the Chaumet Emerald Tiara. The Art-Deco style tiara features a massive cabuchon emerald, as well as a large diamond, set amongst hundreds of smaller diamonds.

This will be a significant year for the princess, as she is set to marry to marry her French fiance, Nicolas Bagory. The civil wedding date has been set for 22 April 2023, while the religious wedding will take place on 29 April at the Church of Saint Trophy in Bormes-les-Mimosa, France.
