Several new images have been released for Prince Charles of Luxembourg’s third birthday by the Grand Ducal Court of Luxembourg.
The future monarch is seen in the images with his parents, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie, as well as his newborn baby brother, Prince Francois, who was born on 27 March.
Prince Charles is seen smiling with a couple of teeth missing as he plays outdoors and blows out the candle on his birthday cake.
Two special family-of-four photos were also released showing the doting parents with their two sons.
The three-year-old recently became a big brother when Prince Francois was born in March. Charles and Francois are second and third in line to the Luxembourgish throne, respectively.
The Grand Ducal Family has had a lot to celebrate in the past few weeks. After Prince Francois was born in March, Princess Alexandra married in civil and religious ceremonies in April. Prince Charles served as a pageboy at his aunt’s religious wedding in France on 29 April.
Prince Charles Jean Philippe Joseph Marie Guillaume of Luxembourg was born on 10 May 2020 in Luxembourg’s Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital. He was baptised on 19 September that same year at the Abbey of St. Maurice and St. Maurus of Clervaux in Clervaux, Luxembourg. His godparents are his maternal aunt, Countess Gaëlle de Lannoy and his paternal uncle, Prince Louis.
